The strategy tester uses every available core, while a terminal that simply trades needs very little. That is why optimisation changes the recommendation more than the number of robots does.
This is an estimate, not a guarantee: a badly written robot or a history of several million bars can use far more. Once installed, check the real memory use in Task Manager, and always leave some margin.

What you need to know
How much RAM does MetaTrader need on a VPS?
Allow about 2 GB for Windows Server, then 300 to 500 MB per terminal depending on your charts and robots. A 4 GB plan suits a few terminals, and 8 GB is better beyond that or if you optimise strategies.
How many MT4 or MT5 terminals fit on a 4 GB VPS?
Usually 3 to 5 terminals with few charts and a few robots. Check real memory use in Task Manager once everything is running.
Do several robots need more vCPU?
An active robot normally puts little load on the processor. vCPUs matter mainly for the strategy tester, which uses every core: allow at least 4 for optimisation.
Does NinjaTrader need more than MetaTrader?
Yes. NinjaTrader 8 loads history and draws charts continuously: 8 GB of RAM is a comfortable minimum, and 16 GB if you follow many markets.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The calculation happens in your browser, and nothing you enter is sent to NVHCloud.
